Three Directions (A Short Movie Script)

01.  INT. At the stage. Concert day.

Aldi, Aldo, Domi, Audience

The audiences are ready to enjoy the first concert of the Three Directions. Aldi, Aldo, and Domi begin their performance.

Audiences

Three Directions! Three Directions! Three Directions!!

(They are yelling)

Domi

Guys!!! Are you ready to rock??

The concert begins. At the beginning, the audiences enjoy the music. But finally, they become so anarchist knowing that the Three Directions perform “Heavy Rotation”. They throw up everything they have, shoes, sandals, and so on. The concert is finally failed, totally failed.

02. INT. In the classroom. Morning.

Aldi, Aldo, Domi

Three Directions are sad due to the failure of the concert. They are discussing a way out to make their performance better.

Aldi

Guys, what should we do? Our first concert is totally failed.

Aldo

Yeah, I don’t know why they didn’t like our performance.

Domi

I think we were just unlucky.

(Thinking)

Aha! I have an idea.

Aldi&Aldo

What’s that?

Domi

I think we should see a fortune-teller to find out a solution.

Aldi

Alright, let’s go now! I know where we should go.

Aldo&Domi

(Following Aldi)

03. INT. In the fortune teller’s place. Morning.

Aldi, Aldo, Domi, Madam Sahara

Aldi, Aldo, and Domi finally see a fortune-teller named Madam Sahara. They already sit in front of her when she is playing some cards.

Madam Sahara

(With a serious face)

I know what your problem is. I know what you want. And I know what you need.

Aldo

Woww….You’re so cool madam.

(While showing his two thumbs up)

Aldi

Well, what should we do then?

Domi

Yes, please tell us the solution, Madam.

Madam Sahara

Now listen carefully. I’ll give you this note. It’s a great solution for you. But remember! You may only open this note after you arrive at school.

Domi

(Giving money)

04. INT. In the classroom. Morning.

Aldi, Aldo, Domi, Gilang

Aldi, Aldo, and Domi come back to school soon. They come in to the classroom and open the note. They are so shock. There are only two words written there “WORK HARD!”

Aldi

Aarrggghhh…

I can’t believe this. We spent much money only to get those two words?

Aldo

Yeah, what a shame!

Even my grand-grand-grand mother can easily say that: “WORK HARD”.

Domi

Slow down, guys. I’m sure that it has a meaning. Hmm…”WORK HARD”. It may be a code.

Gilang

(Suddenly come in to the classroom while bring a guitar)

Yeah, it’s a code to change your style and your song.

Aldi

What do you mean, Gilang?

Gilang

The song “Heavy Rotation” is so so so girly, you know.

Aldo

Then, what should we do?

Domi

I know! Should we change the song?

Gilang

Yes, you’re right.

Aldi

But we don’t have any song.

Gilang

I have one for you. Just listen carefully.

Aldi, Aldo, Domi

OKAY!

Gilang teaches them a song “What Makes You Beautiful” and the Three Directions begin to practice it.

05. INT. At the stage. Concert day.

Aldi, Aldo, Domi, Audience

Still traumatic of the first concert, the audiences are just quiet. They are waiting for the Three Directions to begin their performance.

Domi

Guys, we’re so sorry for the previous concert. Now, just get ready to rock!! Music…!!!

The audiences are surprised of the Three Directions’ performance. They yell enthusiastically. They dance together and enjoy the concert till the end. The concert is finally successful, totally successful.

06. INT. In the classroom. Exam day. Morning.

Aldi, Aldo, Domi, Gilang, Miss Isti, Students

Miss Isti

Good morning, students.

Students

Good morning ma’am.

Miss Isti

How are you all today?

Students

I’m fine, thanks. And you?

Miss Isti

I’m fine too, thank you. Now, please prepare a sheet of paper. As I said last week, we will have a quiz today.

Aldi, Aldo, Domi

(Desperate)

Miss Isti

What’s wrong, Aldi, Aldo, Domi?

Aldi

Uumm…Nothing, ma’am. We just forget to study. We’re so busy with our concert.

Miss Isti

The exam begins. Aldi, Aldo, and Domi try to cheat by asking the answer to Gilang. Gilang passes a piece of paper. They are so happy. But when they open the paper, there are only two words written there “GOOD LUCK!”

(Approaching Aldi, Aldo, and Domi)

Sorry guys, I can’t let you cheat in class. I agree with Miss Isti. You may be popular, but don’t forget to study.

Aldi, Aldo, Domi

(Nod their heads weakly)

07. INT. At the stage. Rehearsal day.

Aldi, Aldo, Domi

As usual, Three Directions do their rehearsal. But now there’s a difference. After doing the rehearsal, they open their books and study.
